14.00-17.00   Arranged visits to ATHLONE CASTLE 
                    on Connacht side of the River Shannon.
                    Delegates may book their visit on  Registration Form.

17.00-18.00   EARLY REGISTRATION FOR RALLY 
                    to facilitate Delegates collecting their name badges.

18.00-18.15   Transport, if required, to Mayoral Reception at Civic Centre
                    from Hotels and Guesthouses.
                    (Civic Centre is 3 minutes walk from Radisson Blu and
                    1 minute from Prince and Sheraton Hotels) 

18.30            MAYORAL RECEPTION at the ATHLONE CIVIC CENTRE
                    for Delegates and their guests.  
                    Drinks and finger buffet.

                    Transport to Shamrock Lodge Hotel
                    for evening programme

20.00            CONCERT at the SHAMROCK LODGE HOTEL
                     featuring The Athlone Choral Society, 
                     Luan Tunes (Athlone's answer to the Looney Tunes!),
                     Lanesboro' Harpist Ensemble and 
                     Guest Tenor Declan Kelly from The Three Tenors. 
            
21.15            INFORMAL EVENING at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel.
                     Light refreshments
                    
                     This is an opportunity to mix and get to know each other!

22.15            First bus back to overnight accommodation.

23.30            Last bus back to overnight accommodation.

DAY 2:  THURSDAY 16th May

                      TAKES PLACE IN RADISSON BLU HOTEL

                      to Radisson Blu Hotel

10.00             Music by the Army Band of the 2nd Brigade
                     under the baton of Captain Declan Whitson

                      Tea / Coffee 

10.15             OUTING FOR ACCOMPANYING GUESTS

11.30             Delegates to be seated in the Marina Suite

11.45             Welcome by the Rally Chairperson

                     Governor of Rotary District 1160

12.05            GUEST SPEAKER:   DR HARMAN MURTAGH
                      Native of Athlone, Harman is a retired Senior Lecturer
                      in Law and Irish Studies, at the Athlone Institute of 
                      Technology and a current Visiting Fellow. 
                      A noted historian, he has written many
                      scholarly publications, especially on military history, 
                      biography and settlement studies.

                      Evening entertainment for Golfers and other
                     enlightened souls who are remaining overnight!

16.00            Transport available to Train and Bus Stations
                      for those who feel they have to leave!

17.00            Transport to visit the International Indoor Athletics Track
                     at Athlone Institute of Technology, reflecting Athlone's
                     status as European Town of Sport 2013.           
                     Light refreshments. 



OUTING FOR ACCOMPANYING GUESTS

10.15    Bus departs Radisson Blu Hotel  for Clonmacnois (12 miles),

 a 6th century monastic city founded by St Ciarán.

13.00    Lunch at Hodson Bay Hotel on Lough Ree


14.30    Return by Viking Ship via Lower Lough Ree

             and the River Shannon to Athlone

15.15   Arrive at Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone




DAY 3:   FRIDAY  17th May

GOLF DAY AT GLASSON COUNTRY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Golfers are asked to book their places on the Registration Form
